AUG 11- CHECK IN & GETTING TO KNOW KRESGE

AUG 12- D&L BLACK DIAMOND TRAIL

AUG 13- NESCOPECK STATE PARK

AUG 14- LEHIGH GORGE TRAIL

AUG 15- CAMP RELAY

AUG 16- CHECK OUT

Daily Schedule

All times for daily schedule are subject to change. Campers are responsible to

listen for schedule changes throughout the day. Please do not be late to any

session.

7:00 a.m. Wake-Up Call

7:15 a.m. Meet and stretch at pavilion for morning hill run (aka “Fluffy”)

8:45 a.m. Breakfast

10:45 a.m. Meet at pavilion for morning strength session and team building

12:30 p.m. Lunch

3:30 p.m. Meet and stretch at pavilion for long run (groups vary by ability)

6:00 p.m. Dinner

8:00 p.m. Evening Session (Guest Speaker/Movie/Camp fire)

10:15 p.m. In cabins and lights out

 
 

Distance Running at YMCA Camp Kresge: A scholastic cross-country training camp is in its 14th year of operation. We provide junior high and high school runners an opportunity to prepare for their upcoming cross country season by training on some of the most scenic and challenging trails in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Instruction is provided by a knowledgeable staff of former high school and collegiate runners. Guest speakers include coaches and running experts who will speak on topics such as nutrition, injury prevention (including proper shoe selection), and the psychological aspects of the sport.Distance Running at YMCA Camp Kresge fosters a welcoming, team-building environment away from the distractions of every day life. Participants interact with runners from a variety of teams across the state, fostering life-long friendships and promoting respect during competition.
